The Melbourne Clinical Gait Course
6th to 8th August 2018
Presented by Prof H. Kerr Graham and the team at the Hugh Williamson Gait Analysis Laboratory, Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne Australia.
With International guest speakers Dr Jon R. Davids and Assoc Prof Sylvia Õunpuu.
This 3 day course is designed for professionals with an interest in clinical gait analysis. The course focuses on the use of gait analysis for children with cerebral palsy to identify impairments and help plan complex orthopaedic surgery. However, this course is informative to anyone interested in clinical gait analysis.
Day 1 with focus on understanding the biomechanical model, ensuring data quality, normal gait and an introduction to the interpretation of clinical gait analysis data. Day 2 and 3 will focus on the interpretation of clinical gait analysis data and impairment identification. This will include practical sessions and panel discussion on impairments affecting gait and management recommendations.
